My bf and I ate here and were dissapointed in the service. The server was very rude. Then after taking a few bites of my food, I realized it was spoiled or not fully cooked. The next day I became very ill! I will not go here again. My bf went with his friends after we went, and he had a terrible experience. There will not be a third chance from our family.

Went here last night for video trivia and it wasn't too bad... The food was decent enough... We ordered the fried pickles were spears and they were pretty good, but I have to say I think they would be better as chips... The batter was great, but the thickness of the pickle and the batter was a little off... More pickle than batter, but it was still a good eat... For dinner, I had the fish basket which comes with a side... The fish is a flounder, dipped in the same batter as the pickle from what I could tell, so it was okay, but I felt like I was eating the same thing twice... lol The fried okra I ordered wasn't deep fried long enough, in my opinion, so it wasn't really crispy, but it was completely cooked... I guess I just like my okra a little well done...

This is a hometown favorite bar, that's group friendly. I've eaten chicken wings from high-class to greasy spoons establishments and I can't find them Better & Cheaper than Luke's wings. Try ordering "crack tooth" where they fry them extra crispy before dousing them in a variety of sauces.

Good as ever! Ask for the special wing sauce - a blended Hot BBQ and Gold Fever mixed - perfection. Great crispy raw fries and cold beer, combined with good, speedy service. Still a great local place to grab a simple, easy, reasonably priced after work meal.

I had high expectations given the reviews, but...I can't say that it was that great. My wife and I stopped in for a drink and to watch the ballgame. We had an hour to kill and thought we would check the place out. We had already failed at Cheap Seats up the road. The place was very packed. I can tell its a very popular place. I definitely got the sense that this is a local Rock Hill hangout. We went up the bar and the first seats, had a sign, "Gone for Smoke" on them. Ha! I've never seen that before. If you've got a seat and need to get a smoke, you can keep your seat reserved with the sign. So, we moved over to an empty seat and sat down. Do you have a drink menu? No. Do you have any IPA's? A puzzled No. (I guess if you are a regular, you just automatically know what beers they have available, or you just order the standards). Given that I needed to guess what to order, I went safe with a Jack and Coke. It was nicely made. My wife opted for a margarita. It was strong or too sour, I'm not sure which. We watched the game on the TV behind the bar, then decided to move on. I can't say it was a bad place and I didn't try the food. The people were reasonably friendly, though the bar tender wasn't that forthcoming with what they might have available. If this is the best Rock Hill has to offer, I think I'm heading up the road to Charlotte.

I have always liked Lukes. The last time I went in it was not very crowded. Despite this service was not that hot. My wife ordered the nachos and the beef was simply beef without any seasonings. They no longer have the Apple sticks that the kids love. They had a beer draft special that I ordered. It came out in a clear cheap disposable plastic cup, maybe 8 ounces. The wings are okay but not as good as the chicken shack. The waitstaff seems to be made up of kids Who have not graduated high school yet. Word on the street is that the talent and effort has gone to the Sandbar restaurant.

This is the best place in the south-east for wings. Hands down. The wings are cheap, they have a ton of different flavors and I can (and have before) eat here every night of the week. They play annoying country music, but I've learned to tune that out a long time ago. On Fridays and Saturdays, it's a really loud place which kind of makes it more fun. I've been going here since it was the bar that all the old people in Rock Hill go to and now it's just a place that everyone goes to and it's still the best.

What a filthy hole. I've been going to that restaurant for 18 years alk with different owners. It has now sank lower than ever. Cops watch it from across the street. Food stinks although sauce is great. Service is as bad as it gets. People they let in is worse than the worst redneck bar. Go to w. Horse if you want good food. What a pitty since they have the best teriyaki hot sauce in the world . You have lost a 18 year customer with your slackness

They have a new menu. The prices have increased slightly. Wings are always great. They have a killer veggie plate. Wait staff and bartenders are great. Lot of tv's to watch sports. Trivia also. Bathrooms really need an overhaul. Live bands.

Luke's is exactly what you want. Really friendly people, great bar food, beer specials. Seriously, what more do you want?

It's not the prettiest girl in the bunch...but who cares when there's an abundance of TVs surrounding the place. If you want to catch a game, play some trivia, or eat the best wings and fried pickles in Rock Hill...Luke's is your place. Luke's expansion also offers something for the more active bar goer. Billiards, video games and an energetic lounge is a stark contrast to the lower key, sports and trivia side that you enter. Make sure to tip your wait staff well. The service is usually on top of things. The pricing is typical of bar food. P.S. Lukes...what's up with that dreadful new floor? Is that an upgrade?

I agree with the other reviewer on most of what he said. There are an abundance of tv's, but I'm not sure they are situated in just the right places for some of the tables. They have a pretty big menu of items, your typical bar food. I too have tried the fried pickles, they are wonderful, they aren't the chips, but the sliced style and they have a little kick to them. Worth the try! I typically don't stick around Rock Hill for Sports Bars, but this would be the best in this area.

I've got 3 words for you - DEEP FRIED OYSTERS!!! Our oldest daughter, son-in-law and 5-year-old grandson live a couple of miles from Luke's, and when the Yankee grandparents visit from Michigan we cannot wait to get to this bar & grill. They've got several big-screen TVs tuned to sports, a welcoming bar, and a ton of tables and booths. The in-house trivia game is also available to all patrons. The servers are warm, friendly, competent, good-looking and johnny-on-the-spot. You do not wait long for your food and booze in this establishment. Parking is plentiful. The customers here run the gamut from down-home folks to teachers to doctors to families with little kids (and they're always busy). We brought our 4- and 5-year-old grandchildren on a Friday night and were treated like royalty. By the way, their kids' menu is fabulous and includes free drinks and ice cream. Yes, Luke's does take-out. Their drinks are generous, the bottled beer comes without a glass (unless you're gauche enough to request one), and the vibe is a mellow good time for everyone. But now, the absolute best saved for last, the "piece de resistance" -- Luke's deep fried oysters are TO DIE FOR!!! The BEST deep fried oysters outside of New Orleans. Do not miss these! Their second-best menu item is their homemade potato chips. These are made-to-order in "soft," "regular," or "crispy" and are seasoned to perfection. For a supper from heaven, order the deep fried oysters and the crispy potato chips. You will hear angels sing. My husband and I are not "deep-fried people" (I'm too chubby as it is) but in the case of Luke's, we happily make an exception.

I'm not a drinker or a bar goer but you don't have to be to enjoy Luke's! Luke's is where the local's hang out. There are all ages as well. You will find college age and older there every night! It is a place where I don't feel bad about taking my teenage children either. We love to eat at Luke's! Now that there is no smoking in the bar it is even better and when it's nice out you can sit outside (with the smokers) and watch the tv out there too. So if you like great bar food, sports, billiards, video games, and hanging out with the local flavor of Rock Hill be sure to visit Luke's even if you only drink sweet tea! :)

Love finding a "locals" place when anywhere, and Luke's definitely fills that bill. Being very persnickety about buffalo chicken wings (and having found another good source for wings in Rock Hill) I decided to test the waitress' claim that Luke's were the best in town (and she named the competitor!). Being a Buffalo-area native, the first thing I liked about Luke's wings was their size -- nice and meaty, definitely pleasing. They were fried to being slightly crispy, and the sauce (I ordered "hot") was pretty spot-on, except that there was simply too much of it. To me, wings need to be tossed in the sauce rather than having sauce poured all over them (leaving the ones at the bottom of the pile swimming in sauce). More definitely was not better, but don't let that mean they didn't taste great. One recommendation for the folks at Luke's, give folks a few more sticks of celery beyond the four measly ones I got. Soft drinks are served in cups with accompanying full pitchers for refills -- nice touch. Above all, Luke's is an economical choice for dinner. It's definitely bar food, but don't sell the place short. In the "wings race", I'd pronounce it a tie.
